10/30/07
– We have received most of our initial Christmas stock
including train sets in all of scales and add on track and
accessories as well. We have all the Lionel traditional size sets
in stock including many favorites like the Polar Express and soon
to be released Hogwart's Express. As well as the Spectrum starter
sets in G and On30, Athearn, Roundhouse and Life Like sets in HO,
and several different Life Like, Atlas and Bachmann sets in N
scale. Get in early for the best selection!
10/14/07
– Christmas is right around the corner and we have
already started stocking up heavily on train sets and other
seasonal items, so remember to shop early and beat the rush. Also,
our inventory is as good as it's been in years in anticipation of
a great Christmas season, so we welcome you to come down and check
out all the new items that are available now!
10/12/07
– We are proud to introduce the latest DCC decoder from
ESU, the Lokpilot Basic. This is bound to be a best seller as the
price is certainly right at $19.50 list and the feature content is
unheard of for a decoder at under $20 buck. Not only does it come
with an NMRA 8-pin plug and three programmable functions, it also
has BEMF speed control and ESU's high performance high frequency
motor drive circuit! As far as we know this is the least expensive
BEMF equipped decoder with an NMRA plug. These will be in stock
around the 20th of October and we are taking backorders
now.

– Due to Barry needing more time to finish up some late
summer projects, and Justin (Jeff's brother) being out of town
until the end of October, the Train Shoppe non-holiday hours will
remain in effect until October 29th. At that time we
will be open Monday – Saturday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

– The O scale layout is really coming together now! The
roadbed for the 3-rail track is down and painted, and the yard and
turntable is being integrated into the Western loop this week.
Again, for anyone looking to build an O scale 3-rail layout and
wanting bench work, roadbed or track laying ideas, please come
down and check out the progress!

– We are proud to announce the addition of the Peco line
of track products to our store! We have been selling the Peco On30
track for some time now, and we are very impressed with the ease
of placement, durability and value this track represents. Look for
the full line of code 55 N scale, and code 83 Ho scale track
products to be in stock by the end of the month!
8/20/07
– After much discussion we have decided to dedicate the
entire West room of our showroom to HO scale! This room will have
a dedicated island style HO scale layout in the center of the
room, while all the HO scale products will reside both on the
display areas of the layout and on the walls surrounding it. We
are determined to have the best selection of HO scale equipment in
the valley, so be sure to come by and visit us, and feel free to
put in suggestions for what you would like to see more of!

– Our Lionel early buy orders are now all in, and we
expect to start seeing products from this order in mid August.
Remember many of the Lionel products are built in limited numbers,
so if there is a product you want to have, be sure to come see us
so that we can include it with our order. This will insure you get
the pieces you are looking for!

– The On30 scale just keeps on growing with more and
more products available everyday. This scale is
perfect for
those who like the look, sound and performance of the larger
equipment, but have limited space for a
layout. Most of the
products available will run around 18” radius curves or
smaller, and even the larger die cast and
brass models require
less than 26” radius curves. So if you're ready to try
something new, or just have a hankering for some good old
fashioned narrow gauge fun, come check these products out!

– The Blackstone Models (division of Soundtraxx) HOn3 K27
“mudhen” locomotives have arrived and they are
amazing! For those of you interested in HOn3 products, you'll be
happy to find out that this locomotive marks a start to an
incredible lineup of quality ready to run locomotives and rolling
stock from Blackstone and other manufactures like PSC and Micro
Trains. As we get closer to
Christmas we plan on expanding our
HOn3 inventory and want
this scale to be an important part of
our future business.

– The bench work for the new O scale layout which will
feature 3-rail, 2-rail standard gauge and 2-rail
narrow gauge
track plans all mixed together is complete. We expect to have the
3-rail layout operational by October and
the rest before the
Christmas season is upon us. If you haven't seen the progress
that's been made, you may want
to come by and check it out. If
you are currently considering starting a model railroad of your
own and are looking for ideas,
now is a great time to observe a
professionally built layout while it's still under construction.
